Juglans Vlach

Vlach is a vigorous clonal walnut rootstock, widely recognized for its strong resistance to Phytophthora root and crown rot, making it an excellent choice for orchards facing disease challenges. A hybrid of Juglans hindsii and Juglans regia, Vlach provides robust growth and enhances productivity in English walnut varieties. It performs exceptionally well in well-drained soils but can also tolerate some heavier soil conditions. In addition to its disease resistance, Vlach is known for its ability to support early bearing and high yields, making it a preferred choice for commercial walnut orchards focused on maximizing tree health and long-term productivity.​
